Atchannaidu produced before Srikakulam Local Court, sent to 14 days remand!

In a shocking turn of events, the former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Minister, President of AP wing of TDP Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was arrested by the Srikakulam police on Tuesday morning.

The former Minister was arrested by the cops for reportedly intimidating a ruling YSRCP Sarpanch candidate to withdraw his nomination papers for the Local Body elections.

The TDP veteran was arrested from his residence at Nimmada village. A large number of cops were deployed at his residence during the arrest. After taking him to custody, he was taken to the Kotabommali public health center.

Going by the Covid-19 protocols, he underwent Coronavirus tests. After the tests, the former Minister was produced before the Local Court in Srikakulam. The Court ordered a remand of 14 days to Atchannaidu.

While being taken to the court after undergoing Coronavirus tests, Atchannaidu has slammed the cops over the way they have handled him. He alleged that wrong cases were framed against him.

He went on to say that after Telugu Desam Party comes to the power, he will become the Home Minister in the state. I will request Chandrababu Naidu to allot Home Ministry to him. Then I will teach everyone a less, he said.

The TDP has condemned the arrest of Atchennaidu. TDP leaders like supremo Chandrababu Naidu, former Minister Nara Lokesh, and others have alleged that the ruling party is targeting the TDP wantedly.
