ATMs to dispense Rs 2000 Notes within 2 Weeks

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley regrets inconvenience caused to the common man after ATMs failed to dispense Rs 2000 notes from November 11th. He informs ATMs located in all over India will dispense new currency notes Rs 2000 within two weeks.

Reserve Bank of India on Saturday informed Printing Presses are working at full capacity to meet the demand for replacement of old currency notes. It added, Sufficient stock of currency notes has been available at 4,000 locations all over the country.

RBI advises people to shift to other modes of transactions using debut or credit cards. It asked people who opened bank accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana to use the debit cards provided to them.

Reminding that there is sufficient time for people to exchange old notes, RBI maintained that there is no need to get panic and put pressure on the bank branches.
