Alleged manhandling of Musunuru mandal tahsildar D Vanajakshi by government whip and TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar's followers is snowballing into major controversy.
As per reports National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to Andhra Pradesh government over the issue. The notices were issued to state's Chief Secretary and DGP on the basis of media reports.
NHRC reportedly highlighted that D Vanajakshi was beaten in the presence of policemen.
NHRC has given two weeks' time to the officers of AP Government to submit report about the incident.
"We have sought a report from the chief secretary and director general of police (Andhra Pradesh) on the matter and have given them two weeks' time," said the NHRC.
Its already known that employees of Krishna district Revenue department took to the streets demanding that the State government initiate immediate action against the culprits.
