An audio clip which is believed to be that of Asaram Bapu who was convicted in rape case has now gone viral. In the clip, The Self-Styled Godman is heard assuring to his devotees that he would return soon. He also thanked them for not coming to Jodhpur while his conviction in the court.
Interestingly, Asaram told he would ensure his two followers Pehle Sharad and Shilpi, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison, steps out of the jail before he walks free. He projected himself as a Gandhian and someone against non-violence.
Asaram sensed some forces are defaming him to become the director of the ashram. 'What has happened isn't final? There are higher courts to rectify the mistakes,' he says.
