A disturbing incident happened in the Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, on October 2 that thirteen Australian women were forced to undergo a medical examination in an ambulance after the newborn was found in an airport bathroom.

According to reports, the thirteen women were taken off a flight to Sydney and forced to have invasive internal examinations. All female passengers onboard a flight preparing to fly to Sydney were examined where 13 Australian women were included in the group.

They were taken to two ambulances waiting outside the airport and subjected to strip searches.  Some of the women have told the media they were terrified and were not told why the tests were being carried out.

The Australian foreign minister Marise Payne says Australia has formally complained to Qatar and expecting a report on the incident from the Government later this week.
