AP Tourism Minister's Clarification On Floating Casinos

For the last couple of days, there were reports in media circles that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government is exploring the feasibility of floating casinos in the state.

According to reports, the state government has reached out to the Centre for the same. Amid the financial crisis, the state government is looking to promote tourism through these floating casinos.

However, State Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao responded to the speculations of floating casinos are being arranged in AP. He said the news is completely baseless.

The minister said the AP government would never encourage such activities. He said the YSRCP government is committed to the welfare of the society and clarified that the state government is working hard for the development of the tourism sector.
