Ex-Cricketer In Race For Secunderabad LS Seat

Update: 2018-07-16 05:19 GMT
Former Indian Skipper Mohammed Azharuddin announced he is looking forward to contest from Secunderabad Lok Sabha Constituency in 2019 Elections.

Actually, Telangana Congress wanted to field Azharuddin against Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad Lok Sabha Segment. However, Azhar is reluctant to take up the challenge as defeating MIM Chief in Hyderabad is too big a task. He feels Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat is a safe bet.

Azharuddin got elected to Lok Sabha from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on Congress Ticket in 2009 Polls. He, however, unsuccessfully contested from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan in 2014 Elections.

For some reason, Azharuddin never repeats his constituency. He contested from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the past. This time, The Ex-Cricketer wishes to move to his home state. Be it any constituency, Victory won't be a cake walk for Azharuddin in Telangana as TRS Party has become so strong over the years.
