Babar Azam maiden T20 century guides Pakistan to chase 204 against Proteas

Pakistan skipper, number one ODI batsman in ICC ODI rankings, Babar Azam played a match-winning innings against South Africa in the Twenty20 international on Wednesday.

Babar Azam made 122 helping Pakistan chase a huge target of 204. He made his first T20 ton in this match. His innings included 15 boundaries and four maximums. Pakistan has chased the target in just 18 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan played a crucial knock of unbeaten 73 along with Babar Azam to make a 197-run partnership for the first wicket. With one match left, Pakistan won the series 2-1.

Batting first, South Africa put a record score of 203-5 on the scoreboard. A. Markram(63), J. Malan(55) guided Proteas to a comfortable score.

In response to this, Pakistan chased the massive target in just 17.4 overs, thanks to Babar Azam (122), Mohammad Rizwan (73 not out) innings. This is Pakistan's best chasing so far.

Babar Azam became the third Pakistan Player to make a ton in T20 format. It is the fastest century in the short format of cricket by a Pakistan player.
