Backstabbing Row: Balakrishna Defends 'Bava' Chandrababu Naidu!

Update: 2022-10-14 11:07 GMT
Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is dubbed as a tech-savvy leader and his vision made wonders for Hyderabad. We cannot imagine a Hi-tech city and the IT corridor without his valuable contributions. Even his opponents talk highly about his administrative skills.

But the change in TDP leadership in 1995 will go down as a controversial episode in his career. The issue was dragged to the news with Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna talking about this in Unstoppable Show. The first episode started streaming on Aha.

Talking about this, Chandrababu Naidu said taking power from NTR was a tough decision and after NTR stood adamant on his decision he took the call along with the family members. Without taking Lakshmi Parvathi's name Chandrababu Naidu said outsiders' influence started growing in the party.

More than Chandrababu Naidu's words, Balakrishna's comments stunned everyone. He said the decision was taken by Nara and Nandamuri families and there is nothing wrong with what Chandrababu Naidu did. He also said he was present when five people tried to talk with his father NTR.

The issue worked well for TDP as it got a good administrator like CBN as a leader, But it also gave an opportunity for opponents to target him on backstabbing. In the 1999 elections, the opposition Congress party tried hard to bank on this. But people voted for TDP.

Lakshmi Parvathi and Nandamuri Harikrishna floated different parties before the elections. Sadly they could not even get deposits. While Harikrishna joined TDP, Lakshmi Parvathi waited for a few years for the right party and took YSRCP's side.
