Hoax Mail About Bomb At Salman's House

The Mumbai Police has arrested a boy from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad for sending a fake mail to Bandra Police Station, which states a bomb was fixed at Salman Khan's residence.

The boy who is in his teens has sent an email to Mumbai Police claiming that a bomb was a was fixed to go off in the next two hours at Salman Khan’s house, Galaxy Apartment which is located in one of the posh areas in Mumbai, Bandra.

"Bandra me Galaxy, Salman Khan ke ghar par agle 2 ghante me blast hoga, rok sakte ho to rok lo (Within the next two hours, a bomb blast will occur at Salman Khan's residence at the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Stop it if you can)," the email read.

After receiving the email, Additional Commissioner of Police, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) along with some police personnel rushed to Salman's residence.

"We checked every nook and corner of his apartment, and the building, which took us around three to four hours. Only after that, the family was shifted back to their apartment," an officer said.

"The teenager came to the police station and we produced him before the juvenile court. We filed a final report (charge sheet) against him (for a non-cognizable offence) after which the court allowed him to go," he added.
