BC Leaders Revolt In Khammam Congress

Congress Party is facing the heat as it's getting ready to unveil the list of MLA Candidates. Particularly, The revolt of BCs in Khammam District is worrying the National Party.

In the Old Khammam District, 5 Constituencies are ST Reserved and 2 other Constituencies are SC Reserved. Remaining 3 Constituencies are General. Now, Congress BC Leaders in these three constituencies have been opposing tickets for Leaders of Upper Castes.

Ticket war between BC and Upper Caste Leaders in Congress for Khammam, Kothagudem and Paleru Constituencies.

In Khammam, BC Leaders are very particular about MLA Ticket. Businessman Gayatri Ravi who maintains good relations with Uttam Kumar Reddy is lobbying for the ticket. Whereas, TDP has been demanding Khammam Seat for Nama Nageswara Rao as part of the alliance. Congress leaders Renuka Chowdhury and Kotla Nageswara Rao are in the race as well.

In Paleru, Kamma, Reddy and Kapu Communities are strong. Though Kammas have more votes, Reddy Leaders in Congress dominate here. Raghurami Reddy and Kandula Upendar Reddy are in ticket race.

In Kothagudem, Congress contemplates on fielding BC Leader and former Minister Vanama Venkateswara Rao. Whereas, TDP and CPI has been demanding Kothagudem Seat. TDP Leader Koneru Satyanarayana and CPI Leader K Sambasiva Rao are in the race.

Congress BC Leaders have been demanding at least 2 out 3 general seats for them. 'What about us if Congress offers Khammam and Kothagudem seats to other parties, & Field an Upper Caste Leader in Paleru,' questions BC Leaders.
