BCCI Earned Rs 4000 Crore From Indian Premier League 2020

The Indian Premier Leauge 2020, which was scheduled to begin on March 29, was finally commenced on September 19 in the UAE. The BCCI has now declared that IPL 2020 has been a successful season for cricket on every aspect.

In an interview, BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhumal said that BCCI earned 4000 Cr revenue from hosting the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.

He also said the Board managed to reduce costs by 35% and viewership increased by 25%. The Board got the highest-ever opening game (Mumbai Indians versus Chennai Super Kings) viewership. The T20 league, spanning 60 matches spanning 53 days involved around 30,000 COVID-19 tests for 1,800 individuals involved in the mega tournament.

According to reports, the next edition of IPL will be held in India during the Summer. This time there will be a mega auction and a new team will also be joined the tournament.
