BCCI orders Probe on Amit Mishra's shocking act

Bengaluru Police have registered an FIR against Indian cricketer Amit Mishra following a complaint filed by a woman accusing him of physically assaulting and abusing her in his hotel room last month. Summons were issued to the Spinner asking him to appear before the cops for questioning within a week.

Soon after receiving the FIR copy from the police, BCCI has ordered for a probe into the serious allegations levelled against Amit Mishra. As a result, Mishra's participation in the 4th ODI against South Africa on Thursday looks uncertain.

The complainant told to the Cops that she went Mishra's hotel room when he wasn't there and a heated argument took place between then soon after he came there. There after, the assault took place. A case was registered under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage her modesty) and 328 (causing hurt) of IPC.
