Former Indian national cricket team captain and serving Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) was rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata on Saturday after he fell ill.
It is said that he complained of chest pain on Saturday afternoon after which he was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital located in Kolkata. He is undergoing treatment.
Reports claimed that his health condition is stable now. However, the former Indian captain will reportedly have angioplasty done today evening based on the doctor's advice.
Media reports claimed, he started feeling uneasy while he was working out in his home gym. When he informed about the same, his family members rushed him to the hospital.
When the news broke out, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and many Indian cricketers, wished the BCCI boss a speedy recovery.
"Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!" Mamata Banerjee's tweet read.
