YSRCP firebrand MLA Roja needs no introduction. She doesn't shy away from blasting the opponents with her fiery speeches. She was made the Cabinet Minister recently when the second cabinet in Andhra Pradesh was announced. Since then, Roja has been keeping herself busy with her work.
As the alleged gang rape issue reported in the temple city Vijayawada had placed both ruling YSRCP and TDP against each other. The fight between the parties is turning intense with each passing day. New Cabinet Minister Roja stepped into the fight.
Reacting to the issue, Roja had blasted the Telugu Desam Party and its leaders. Alleging that the party has a history of demanding women, Roja asked what right the party has got to protest against the issue. Roja accused TDP of politicizing the whole issue.
Drawing a comparison between TDP and YSRCP, Roja said that the current government had a partiality towards women and that is why the majority of current welfare schemes favor women. Highlighting the flagship Disha system brought for the safety of women Roja said, that's how a government should run.
Pointing the gun at the Telugu Desam Party, Roja accused the party of having an anti-women stand. She also took a dig at actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who said at a film function that his fans will be happy if he kisses a girl on this occasion.
Coming to Nara Lokesh, Roja surprised everyone by saying that he should drape a saree as he could not win as an MLA. Not stopping there, she even said that Chandrababu Naidu should also drape a saree for failing to make his son win as MLA. Do they want a saree or a chudidar? Do they want a yellow saree, Tourism Minister Roja asked.
There might be a political battle between TDP and YSRCP, but that doesn't mean Roja can pass such objectionable comments. She is a cabinet Minister and she has to behave properly. Forgetting her stature and making such comments is not good that too, while talking about a person who had served as the Chief Minister of the state in the past.
