Cement Baron Finds Cementing Alliance Partners Is Not Easy

Update: 2018-11-21 07:09 GMT
Bhavya Anand Prasad is a cement industry biggie. He many have cemented many things, but cementing people, pooling them up together and fighting elections is an entirely different ballgame and he seems to be learning the lesson the hardest way possible.

Bhavya Prasad has been given the TDP ticket from Serilingampalli constituency in Hyderabad. Normally, it should have been an easy ride for him given the fact that he is a settler and a TDP man and the constituency has over 3.5 lakh settler votes, who strongly back the TDP. He also has the support of Nandmuri Balakrishna. But, in reality, it's been a bumpy ride for him as he is finding dissidence and non-cooperation by party workers too hot to handle. Already there is dissent from Maha Kutami's three partners - the Congress, TJS and the CPI. The TJS and the CPI have not joined the campaign at all. As for the Congress, a major section of the party is with former MLA Bikshapathi Yadav, who is contesting as a rebel. As if these are not enough, even within the TDP, there is dissidence. Movva Satyanarayana, a TDP strongman, has not been cooperating with Bhavya Anand. He has raised a banner of revolt and has declared war on Bhavya. He is unhappy at not being given the ticket.

So, Bhavya is finding things too hot to handle. He has reportedly sent an SOS to the party chief to set the house in order.
