Nandyal belongs to Telugu Desam

Telugu Desam Party emerged victorious in the by-election of Nandyal Assembly Constituency. Both the Ruling Party and Opposition Party took this election as a matter of prestige & fought so hard. While AP CM Chandrababu Naidu toured Nandyal twice before election notification was issued, Hundreds of crores have been sanctioned for the development of the poll-bound constituency in the past three months. TDP Supremo campaigned extensively in the last two days as well.

On the other hand, YS Jagan made a grand entry with his public meeting in Nandyal. He campaigned in the constituency for 14 days at a stretch. While Polling took place on 23rd, Counting of votes began Today at the Polytechnic College.

Though there are 19 Rounds in Nandyal, Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy stood as a winner within 16 Rounds as he received over 50% of total votes polled. A majority of 27,456 votes is something even TDP Leaders haven't expected.

Final Results:

Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy (TDP) - 97,106 votes

Shilpa Mohan Reddy (YSR Congress) - 69,640 votes
