Update: 2020-10-23 08:07 GMT
With the Bihar Assembly polls fast approaching, the BJP has upped the campaign game. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a political rally in Sasaram, which is his first rally for the campaign.

In his speech, Narendra Modi paid tributes to former Union Minister late Ram Vilas Paswan and Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, a former RLD leader who worked for the poor.

Addressing the rally, Narendra Modi termed National Democratic Alliance (NDA)'s win in Bihar as a key to make the state 'Atmanirbhar'.

Referring to the protests against the Union Government's farm bills, Narendra Modi found fault with the protestors and said they are saving the brokers and middlemen.

The opposition is insulting the Bihar martyrs by promising to restore Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir if they come to power. How can they ask for votes in Bihar now? he asked.

Narendra Modi took a dig at UPA over their election campaigned. He alleged that UPA has stalled the development of the state and didn't let Nitish Kumar function properly.

The officials have made all the arrangements for the election rally. Narendra Modi is scheduled to address two more rallies in the state in Gaya and Bhagalpur.
