Update: 2020-11-24 12:10 GMT
That the BJP is taking the GHMC elections is only too well known. The party has committed all its senior leaders like state president Bandi Sanjay, D Aravind, Kishan Reddy, Laxman, Raja Singh and Raghunandan Rao.  In addition, a national strategy team led by party general secretary Bhupinder Yadav is already working in the twin cities. Already young guns like MP Tejaswi Surya have been roped in to campaign.

To add to all these, a slew of national level top political celebrities will descend on Hyderabad from next Tuesday.  Union Home Minister Amit Shah,  BJP national president JP Nadda and UP CM Yogi Adityanath too will campaign in the city. The aim is to activate the large number of North Indian migrants in the city and make them vote. This can significantly turn the tables in at least 15 to 20 divisions, where there is a significant section of North Indian voters.

The BJP also hopes to energise the cadres, who are already on a high following Dubbak victory. This will also highlight the importance that the party national leadership has accorded to the GHMC elections.
