The Haryana elections have reduced the confidence of the BJP party of winning the elections with a clean sweep. In the Haryana Assembly elections, only 2 of the 10 BJP MLAs made it to the Assembly as 8 ministers were defeated in the elections.
Cabinet Minister Anil Vij who has won the elections 5 times has retained his seat in Ambala Cantonment and the State Minister Dr. Bhanwari Lal won from Bawal.
Anil Vij emerged victorious in Ambala by defeating Congress rebel Chitra Sarwara with 20,000 votes.
Ministers who could not win elections this time are Ram Bilas Sharma(Mahendragarh), Capt Abhimanyu(Narnaud), Om Prakash Dhankar(Badli), Kavita Jain(Sonipat), Krishan Lal Panwar(Israna), Manish Kumar Grover( Rohtak), Krishan Kumar Bedi(Shahbad), and Karan Dev Kamboj(Radaur).
