Post-Dubbak success, the buoyed up BJP is now eyeing the GHMC. The BJP has already divided the GHMC into seven zones and has appointed veteran leaders to monitor the party campaign. Not just that, it has also requisitioned the services of a reputed election management company to help the candidates in the campaign.
Party sources said that the BJP has fixed a target of GHMC 70 for itself. The BJP is targeting 70 divisions and wants to win them by working hard. The BJP feels that the TRS has already entered into an alliance with the MIM and even if there is no open alliance, both the parties would help one another. So, the party wants to expose the MIM-TRS link and put the TRS on the defence. Hence, Hindutwa would be a campaign point for the BJP, sources said.
In addition to this, the party now is planning to bring top leaders from both the Congress and the TRS into its fold. Several TRS corporators and leaders are unhappy with the dictatorial ways of KCR. They have for long been looking for an opportunity to leave the party. Now the BJP is being seen as a potent alternative and post-Dubbak victory, the BJP is firing on all cylinders. So, several TRS leaders might join the BJP in the days to come. With all these, the BJP wants to project itself as an alternative to the TRS in the GHMC.
