BJP Eyeing Main Opposition Status In AP

Update: 2019-07-07 11:42 GMT
BJP has been trying to emerge as a strong force taking advantage of the dire situation of TDP post the 2019 Elections. It succeeded in luring four Rajya Sabha MPs and few Leaders of Telugu Desam already into the party. The Saffron Party seems to be now aiming for Main Opposition Status in AP Assembly.

By winning 23 MLA Seats, TDP managed to attain Main Opposition Status in AP. The comments made by BJP AP In-Charge Sunil Deodar is raising doubts over the longevity of Main Opposition status for Telugu Desam. He claimed 18 TDP MLAs has been in touch with BJP and Naidu's Party will lose Main Opposition status soon.

These comments are a clear indication that BJP is keen to snatch the Main Opposition status from TDP by encouraging defections. BJP hadn't won a single seat in 2019 Elections. If it attains Main Opposition status in AP Assembly, The situation reflects the deteriorating standards in the political system.

Most TDP Leaders have been looking at other parties fearing Corruption Cases likely to be filed against Chandrababu & Co., in the near future.
