The BJP focus for the two MLC seats appears to be mainly on the youth. The party is reaching out to the young and first time graduate voters in ways more than one. The party is said to have developed an effective networking system to connect with the young voters.
For over the last one year, the BJP has focused on young voters and enrolled them in a big way. The work of contacting the youth has begun almost a year ago and there were concerted attempts to reach out to them. The enrollment was done systematically through five agencies and the contact details of these voters have been collected meticulously. As a result, the number of voters has doubled in both the constituencies of Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam. A large number of the new voters were enrolled by the BJP.
Over the last three months, the party has been organizing several outreach programmes among the youth, due to which they have a live contact. The party is sending them information through various social media. Most of these new voters have been constituted into small groups of 100 or 150 and are regularly in contact with the party leaders. All these factors will help the BJP in raising the polling percentage and help the party win the elections, the party leaders feel.
