BJP invited me but I refused: Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly reacts on rumors about joining BJP party. From few days there were rumors that Sourav Ganguly is in talks with senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and is likely to join the political outfit soon.

Mumbai-based industrialist and RPG  Enterprises chairman Harsh Goenka had tweeted on Wednesday evening that Ganguly will soon join BJP and that it would be a coup for BJP.

Today dada reacts on rumors and he has dismissed the reports of him joining the BJP .he said that BJP invited him into their fold but he has declined the offer given to him by the party.

Ganguly said “Yes, the BJP did make an offer. However, I have declined it. I won’t be contesting the elections.”.In the last few months, the BJP has been very aggressive in Ganguly's home state of West Bengal .if dada joinw BJP it will be a big boon for them to face didi mamata Benarjee.

Ganguly is one of India's best known cricketers and a highly successful captain, represented India in 113 Test matches and 311 One Day Internationals (ODI).Since he retired in 2008 Ganguly has been sought after by many political parties.
