Now a local BJP leader of the state issued stern warning to Chief Minister for his comments. The BJP leader identified as SN Channabasappa has threatened to behead Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in public if he consumed cow meat in front of him.
SN Channabasappa, a local leader of Shivamogga made these sensational comments during a protest organised by the local party unit against Siddaramaiah's comments.
"How dare you (CM) lay your hands on the neck of Gomata? You are openly saying that you will eat cow meat. If you have the guts, you come here and eat. There is be no doubt that on that day you will be beheaded. Are you playing with the emotions of Hindus? Don't do it." Said the BJP leader
Siddaramaiah responded on the comments and said that it was a provocative statement by BJP.
