BJP MP GVP writes to CM Jagan over Lepakshi Heritage temple

BJP Rajya Sabha Member Guntupalli Venkata Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, popularly known as GVL has written to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over the road widening works in the Hindupur area.

Some media reports claimed that in the letter, the MP maintained that the road widening works and four-lane works that are being carried out at from Kodikonda check post to the Madakasira area results in the heritage sites in Lepaskhi village getting damaged seriously.

He even found fault with the road construction works near the Basavanna Temple and said these heritage sites have to be safeguarded and requested the state government to stop the construction works.

The MP went on to say that despite raising many objections on the construction works the concerned authorities didn't change the construction plans. He added that going ahead with the construction plan will create damage for the heritage sites.
