BJP strategy for Jharkhand: Strong, challenging, never-won Once bitten, twice shy! That's BJP's condition these days. After the not-so-well performance in both Maharashtra and Haryana, the party is not willing to take any chances in Jharkhand, which will go to polls from November 30. In both Haryana and Maharashtra, it appeared to be a cakewalk for the party and it hoped to win massive majority. But, when the votes were counted, the party did not get a majority in both the states.

So, it does not want to leave anything to chance in Jharkhand. It has to retain Jharkhand at any cost. So, it has decided not to make the mistakes it has made in the two states. The BJP has deputed national vice president OP Mathur to Ranchi to coordinate the party's strategy. Working president JP Nadda is also concentrating on the state.

The BJP has divided the 81 constituencies into three categories - strong (where the BJP is very strong and has strong chances of winning ),  Challenging (seats which are likely to see a tough contest) and never won (seats where the party has not won even once) and is working out special strategies for each of the categories. The party wants to focus  on each constituency and is working out alliances with every possible friend such as the all Jharkhand Students Union and the Lok Jana Shakti Party. Nadda himself is trying to remove the irritants in the way of better coordination among the party workers.  Jharkhand will have a five-phase poll starting from November 30.
