Taking forward the fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR lashed out at the saffron party and dubbed the party as traitors and demons. His press meet on Sunday saw him coming down severely on the BJP.
The Telangana wing of the saffron party hit back at the TRS and said that the party is suffering from internal issues and the party leadership is worried that it might experience a similar situation like Maharashtra. There are few Eknath Shindes in the party, T-BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged.
It appears like the saffron party wants to threaten the ruling TRS in the name of a political crisis. Predicting that the TRS might meet the fate of the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, the state wing of the BJP is targeting the TRS.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is trying to intimidate the TRS in the name of a Maharashtra-like situation cannot pull off the same scene here. Drawing a comparison between Maharashtra and Telangana.
In Maharashtra, the saffron party is the single largest party and has a strength of 100 MLAs. With the help of the rebel MLAs in Eknath Shinde's camp, the Bharatiya Janata Party topped the alliance government in Maharashtra.
BJP has less than ten MLAs in Telangana and with that, the BJP cannot do anything. Though there are reports that the TRS MLAs are rebelling against the party leadership, the chances of them joining the BJP are very less.
This is not the first time, the BJP alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister would go through what Uddhav Thackeray went through as far as the attack from the rebel MLAs is concerned. Since the national executive meeting was held in Hyderabad earlier last week, the saffron party has been claiming the repeat of the Maharashtra situation in Telugu state Telangana at regular intervals.
Though Bharatiya Janata Party wants to foray into Telangana state, it cannot do anything other than intimidating the party. What the BJP is threatening will be restricted to just words, and in practicality, nothing can be done.
