The assembly is set to expire today. Maharastra CM Fadnavis resigned to CM post. The Shiv Sena-BJP alliance has become difficult to form a government. Shiv Sena alleges, like in Karnataka, that the BJP is ready to split the MLAs of other parties and form the government.
BJP has no other option in Maharastra, it should join hands with either Shiv Sena or NCP. BJP has 105 seats, while the halfway mark is 145. Shiv Sena has 56 seats and NCP has 54 seats. BJP is not willing to accept Shiv Sena's 50:50 formula.
However, BJP needs more 40 MLA's to form the government, it is not possible to pull the MLAs of other parties and form the BJP government. If nothing is possible then there are chances of President's rule in Maharastra.
