Bollywood actors and directors barring the top creme layer, participated in a peaceful protest at Carter Road, Mumbai. They all said that the students at JNU should not be facing such attacks on them at any given point of time.
They all expressed their desire to see an end to JNU attacks and said that no matter whatever may be the issue, as students are the future of the country, they should be given their right to protest very peacefully.
Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Anubhav Sinha, Tapsee Pannu, Diya Mirza, Richa Chadda, Gauhar Khan and few others participated in the protest.
After the recent attacks, many students from JNU had to be shifted to hospital for immediate medical attention. Police couldn't control the situation in the nick of the time and the attacks have become too violent.
Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray said that he finds Delhi Police very ineffective in this situation and in his state, he would never allow matters to escalate so much.
Heavy weights like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and the three Khans stayed away from the issue, after looking at the recent outrage against them for stating their opinions on National issues.
