Boney Kapoor walks out of Okkadu remake

Producer Boney Kapoor acquired the Hindi remake rights of Telugu blockbuster 'Okkadu' few years back from MS Raju. He planned to produce the film in Bollywood with his son Arjun Kapoor (Ishqzaade fame) as the hero. The senior producer even collaborated with Eros for this venture 'Tevar'.

To everyone's shock, Boney Kapoor walked out of the prestigious flick due to financial constraints. Now, his brother Sanjay Kapoor would be producing the flick.

Sonakshi Sinha will be starring opposite Arjun Kapoor in this remake. Debutante Amit Sharma will wield the megaphone.

Arjun Kapoor is one of the promising young heroes in Bollywood. He had films like Gunday, 2 States and Finding Fanny Fernandes in the pipeline

Rumors are abuzz that Sridevi is behind Boney opting out of project as she she is not comfortable with her husband investing crores on his first wife's son.
