One major fall-out of Corona lockdown is the growth in the Work from Home. The homes have turned into office and the employees are working from home. Most companies from various sectors have opted for Work from Home and now it is emerging that this could continue at least till July end. So, both the employees and the employers are adjusting to the new reality.
The employers are watching their employees take coffee or tea or cuddle their kids while working on the computer systems. The employees are relieved that they don't have to travel for hours to reach their offices. According to a survey by Forbes Magazine, the employers are happy that the employee productivity has increased. It also showed that out of the 2 lakh employees surveyed, a maximum of the employees are happier. 91 per cent of them say that working from home is more productive. The employers are feeling that the office maintenance costs have come down significantly. There are fewer leaves and the employees are working for a longer time. However, the survey also showed that the employees are missing their colleagues big time and working alone is killing their competitive spirit and the urge to outdo others.
However, there are fears of data breach, company software theft and diversions from work are also rising. The companies are now planning to put in place stricter security systems for the home computers. Despite the risks more and more companies are now looking at Work from Home as a better option for them.
