The intense battle between TDP and YSRCP needs no introduction. From verbal attacks to physical attacks, everything happens between the leaders. A few leaders of the Telugu Desam Party like Kinjarapu Atchannaidu were also arrested and the opposition party painted the arrests as a political vendetta.
Taking forward the fight between the two parties, a Telugu Desam Party leader was reportedly attacked by a few YSRCP supporters. The attack was so intense that Telugu Desam Party state secretary Chennupati Gandhi sustained severe injuries and an operation might be required.
Though there is no official confirmation on who is behind the brutal attack, the Telugu Desam Party leaders are alleging that the ruling YSRCP has a role to play in the incident and they will give a befitting reply. Former Minister Nara Lokesh alleged that YCP members attacked the TDP leader and they will retort harshly to this.
Since YSRCP came to power a few Telugu Desam Party leaders at the ground level were either attacked or killed. Out of all the incidents, the Palnadu incident where a TDP leader was brutally killed by opponents raised many doubts and concerns. Before killing the TDP leader, opponents threw Mirchi power in his eyes so that he could not escape the attack.
Now the recent incident is also seen as a political rivalry issue by the TDP and the party sympathizers. Looking at the injuries the victim developed, the political experts believe that the attackers might have had a personal grudge against the victim.
Moreover, the issue was reported from temple city Vijayawada which saw such brutal attacks in the past too. On the other hand, it is also said that the old factions between the attackers and the victim might have caused the attack.
Keeping aside the discussion on who might have done this, the victim's condition is not good and the victim is shifted to LV Prasad eye hospital in Hyderabad for further treatment. Reports say that the victim sustained serious injuries on his eyes and he might even lose his visibility in the worst condition. The political heat in Temple city increased at once with the incident.
