Bulldozing of Properties: Muslim Body Approaches Apex Court!

Update: 2022-04-18 11:38 GMT
The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Aditynatah had come up with a flagship idea to deal with the rioters or accused in the case. After pointing out the accused, the government is bringing down the properties often accused and by selling the properties, the government is compensating for the loss created by the riots.

The Uttar Pradesh model had inspired a few other BJP-ruled states. Madhya Pradesh is a few ahead and has already started using the model. After the recent violence in the state during the Ram Navami processions, a few accused were figured and their properties were being bulldozed.

Unhappy with this, a few Muslim outfits have knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court. In the writ petition, the Islamic clerics body Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind had alleged that without proper investigation and not following the due procedure, the properties are being bulldozed.

Having said that, the body sought directives from the Supreme Court that the Madhya Pradesh government should be stopped from carrying out the attacks on the properties that belong to the Muslim population in the state.

The body said that many leaders, even the Cabinet Ministers in the state, are endorsing the idea of bulldozing the properties and this is creating fear among the minority communities in the state.
