Shocking: Business Student Ragged, Assaulted By Students!

Business schools have a lot of respect as the institutions manufacture geniuses who can lead MNCs and global companies. Students enter the campuses with a lot of hopes for their future. The evil practice of ragging students has entered the mighty Business Schools too. This is a big concern. This incident is from Telangana's Capital city Hyderabad.

Going into detail a student of the ICFAI Business School in Hyderabad’s Dontanpally reportedly wrote to the President narrating the humiliating experience he had on the campus and he was thrashed by a few students. He is a first-year BA LLB student.

The victim is identified as Himak Bansal. Around 20 students trashed him and reportedly made him raise slogans like "Jai Mata Di” and “Allah hu Akbar”. The pictures and videos of the alleged assault went viral and people were stunned that even Business Schools are not safe for the students.

As per the information shared by News Agency ANI, the victim reportedly made some objectionable comments against Prophet Muhammad, and a girl shared the same information with a few students. Not happy with this, a few students cornered him and thrashed him. It is said that he was beaten on his private parts also.

The college administration is said to have swung into action and suspended around 12 students in connection with the case. It is also said that five students were detained. Sohail Patel, Ganesh, Varshith, Mohammad Inder Rahman, and Vasudev Varma were detained as per the media reports.

A case was filed against the accused in connection with the case under a few IPC sections of the Telangana Prohibition of Ragging Act. Sections of an attempt to murder and assault were also slapped against the accused as per the information.

After the incident happened the victim reportedly went to his native place and wrote to the Honorable President on the issue through an email and then the concerned Police were asked to look into the issue by the higher authorities. The accused reportedly trespassed into the victim's room on the campus and started beating him. The accused recorded this and warned him of dire consequences if he complained.
