Cabinet Members to post Portfolios on Seniority and Capabilities?

Update: 2022-04-11 09:39 GMT
In a bid to keep his promise, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had dissolved his cabinet so that new members would take charge for the rest of the tenure. After coming to power, Jagan said that after two and a half years the cabinet will be dissolved. Going by the same, the Cabinet Ministers resigned from the posts earlier last week.

But the core committee had to go through a big task to finalize the candidates. The seats that have to be filled are very few as 11 members were already retained. However, the competition for the limited posts is quite high.

The candidates were finalized keeping caste and regional equations in mind and for the same reasons, a few young leaders were also given a call into the cabinet. The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet 2.0, with 11 old faces and 14 new faces took oath today and the Governor took care of the same.

Now the question is which ministries the Cabinet Ministers will be allotted to. Amid this, it has been widely reported that a few Ministers were allotted the Ministries on the grounds of their capabilities and seniority.

Buggana Rajendranath, who held the key portfolio of Finance was reportedly given the same portfolio as he is aware of the Ministry and presented budgets too. Another Minister getting an understanding of the new portfolio might take a lot of time and keeping this in mind he was repeated reportedly. He might get the IT Portfolio too.

The same might go for the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries & Dairy Development Minister Seediri Appalaraju as he is likely to be retained as the Fisheries Minister in the new Cabinet that was formed earlier today.

As per the predictions of experts- the other members might get the following portfolios.Dharmana PrasadaRao(PanchayatiRaj), Kakani Govardhan Reddy(Agriculture), Roja(Civil Supplies), Amjad Basha(Minority Welfare),Venugopala Krishna(BC Welfare), Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy(Power& Mines),Ambati Rambabu(Cinematography), Botsa Satyanarayana(Municipal Administration), Usha Chicharan(Child Welfare).

On the other hand, a few aspirants who are not happy about losing the Cabinet posts have openly expressed their anger on the same, while a few leaders are gearing up to submit their resignations to the Assembly Speaker.
