With just a day and a half just left for the high voltage poll campaign to end, political parties and candidates are pulling all stops to reach out to the voters. The last two days of the campaign are key to the success or otherwise of the candidates and parties. So, they are leaving no stone unturned by organising road shows, rallies, campaigns, meetings and individual outreaches. They want to ensure that every voter is reached before the blaring mikes fall dead silent at 5 PM on Wednesday.
Politically important Medak district, which is the home turf of Chief Minister KCR and his nephew Harish Reddy, is also witnessing intense political activity these days. The CM and Harish have already addressed several meetings in the district and Harish will organise road shows on Tuesday and Wednesday. Padma Devendar Reddy is conducting a vigorous campaign in Medak constituency. She is defending her turf again. In Narsapur, TRS candidate Madan Reddy is scouring through every village in his constituency. Harish Rao is working hard for his victory. Congress candidates Upender Reddy and Sunitha Reddy too are working hard to woo the voters in a big way. Sunitha, a former minister, is meeting everyone and is asking for their support. Upender Reddy has already covered Papannapet, Ramayampet, Chinnasankarampet, Nizampet and other villages. In Medak, the surprise package is BJP's Akula Rajaiah. Initially, he was not considered to be in the race for the MLA post. But, through personal contact and widespread tours, he has become a serious contender. He has already completed one round of the campaign and is all set to take up the second round. On Tuesday and Wednesday, he is focusing on Medak municipality, Medak mandal and Papannapet mandal. In Narsapur, BJP candidate Gopi too is proving to be a tough nut to crack. He has been touring incessantly and is able to elicit massive support.
On the whole, the election promises to be a tighter one in both Medak and Narsapur.
