In a major cyber attack, as many as thousands of accounts of government services were hacked. The attacks were reportedly aimed at accessing crucial government services.
This shocking incident took place in Canada, where more than 5,000 Revenue Agency accounts in the country were subjected to hacking and they did a failed attempt to access crucial data.
Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat issued an official release in this regard and said after the cyber attacks, all the hacked accounts were suspended as a precautionary measure.
The Canadian government called for a probe into this and directed the concerned authorities to see if any official and crucial information was leaked from the accounts that were subjected to hacking.
