Kamal Haasan booked for Hindu Terror Remark

Update: 2017-11-03 17:01 GMT
A defamation case has been filed against Kamal Haasan in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Varanasi constituency for stating Hindu Terror is now a reality in India. The case was booked under sections 298, 295(a), 500, 505© and 511 of Indian Penal Code.

In the column for Tamil Magazine Ananda Vikatan, Kamal Haasan wrote Hindi right-wing groups have been indulging in violence as their cunningness kept failing. He accused them of using muscle power instead of dialogue to gain an upper hand. 'Right-Wing could no more challenge - Show Me One Hindu Terrorist! Terror has spread into their camp as well,' he opined.

Kamal wrote the column in reply to the question raised by Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan about the plans of Hindutva Forces to strengthen its base in Tamil Nadu. He made it clear they can't make inroads into Tamil Nadu with terror activities.

BJP National Spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said Kamal Haasan joined the ranks of Hafiz Saeed and P Chidambaram by making such remarks. He feels Kamal is becoming an extension of the Congress Party.
