Cases filed against CBN in Telugu States quashed

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naiidu moved a petition in High Court seeking the quash of the cases filed against him in various police stations of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Naidu brought to the notice of HC that cases have been filed against him in 2008 at places such as Vizianagaram, Adhilabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad and Hyderabad Police Stations on grounds of Election Code and Police Orders violation. CBN's Counsel K Ravindra Kumar told the Court that lot of cases have been filed based on the complaints from cops and election commission officials inspite of not having any proofs.

Justice V Ramasubrahmanyam & Justice A Shankar took up the petition. Upon on having a look at the records, High Court issued an order streaking down all the FIRs registered against Chandrababu Naidu.
