'Cash for post' is once again rocking the BJP in Telangana. Another party functionary has come out into the open. BJP state Yuva Morcha state secretary B Balreddy has accused Rangareddy district Mahila Morcha president Uma Maheshwari Reddy of duping him of Rs 20 lakh with the fake promise of getting him a nominated post in the Government.

Reddy has lodged a complaint against Uma Maheshwari with the Rajendranagar police station on Saturday.  In his complaint, Bal Reddy said that Uma Maheshwari had demanded Rs 38 lakh from him with the promise of getting him a nominated post with the Sports Authority of India. The police lodged a case under sections of 420, 384 and 406 of the IPC.  The case is under investigation.  It may be recalled that a woman named Pravarna Reddy had lodged a complaintwith the Mahila Police Station in Saroor Nagar that some BJP leaders had duped her of huge amounts with the promise of getting her a nominated post with the central government. Several BJP leaders found themselves on the dock in this case. Cases were booked against several BJP leaders, some of them seniors, on the basis of a court reference.

The Narendra Modi government is adopting a very strict approach with regard to appointments to the nominated posts. The posts are being given only after a thorough scrutiny and monetary considerations are not being allowed in giving the nominated posts.
