CBI gives a shock to Dharmana Prasad Rao

In a much shock to former Minister Dharmana Prasadrao, the CBI has said the investigation can be done on allegations on Dharmana in Vanpick's case. While issuing orders the CBI mentioned the Supreme Court's comments, where the apex court supported the CBI court's idea to take into consideration.

The CBI made it clear that investigations can be done as earlier the special court has dismissed High Court's orders regarding financial crimes.CBI said that Dharmana can proceed.

BV Madhusudhan Rao, CBI Special Court Judge asked the CBI on the progress of the case which was filed against Dharmana Prasad Rao in the apex court. Following this, the special court has ordered the CBI to submit the case details before Jan 7.

The most talked-about Vanpic case roots back to Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor, which was proposed to be set up in a huge 28,000 acres of land in Guntur-Prakasam districts.

The project was undertaken by Businessman Nimmagadda. He was earlier arrested by the CBI for cheating the government. The CBI has also accused Dharmana, who was then the Revenue Minister for attempting to confiscate the state assets.
