In a shocking development, former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi was tested positive for the pandemic. He is the second player from Pakistan after Taufeeq Umar to get infected with the dreaded virus.
The 40-years-old Cricketer took to Twitter to confirm the news and asked his followers to pray for his speedy recovers.
"I've been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I've been tested and unfortunately I'm covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah," Afridi's Tweet read.
So far the positive cases of the pandemic reached 132,405 with 6,472 fresh infections reported in the past 24 hours. While 2,551 people succumbed to the pandemic.
