he infamous Disha gang-rape and murder incident that took place in Telangana has resulted in outrage across the nation. Following this, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought a new bill Disha bill that calls for strict actions against such crimes.
After getting a nod from the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council and State Assembly, the bill was sent to the Centre to make the bill into law.
Now the center has sent back the Disha bill to Andhra Pradesh allegedly asking the state government to make necessary corrections in the Disha bill and send it back to make the bill into law.
It has been widely reported that the center raised many objections over the bill and directed the AP government to make some more changes in the bill.
If these reports are to be believed, the crucial Disha bill will have to wait for some more time as the bill has to go through a lot of procedures.
First, the required changes have to be made to the bill. Then the bill has to be approved by the Legislative Council and Assembly and then has to be sent to the Centre for their formal acceptance.
Once the bill gets the required acceptance, then the same bill will reach the honorable President. The new bill will become law if it is signed with the approval of the President
