Andhrites Shocked With Centre's Affidavit In SC

Special Category Status, which is the promise made by then PM Manmohan Singh in the floor of the House to Andhra Pradesh, has been completely neglected by Modi-led NDA Government. When Andhrites have been expressing their anguish, Centre has submitted a controversial affidavit in the Supreme Court.

Union Government informed SC that Special Category Status can't be accorded to AP. Though it claims to have fulfilled bifurcation promises, Visakha Railway Zone wasn't even mentioned in the affidavit by Centre.

Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy filed a petition in Supreme Court regarding Bifurcation Promises, Study on Polavaram Submergence and Bayyaram Steel Plant. Centre was asked to file a counter to the petition for making it's stand clear.

AP Revenue Deficit in the first year of bifurcation Rs 4,116 crore. Centre sanctioned Rs 3,979 crore so far.

Rs 2,500 crore was sanctioned for AP Capital. Upon submitting UCs, We would sanction Rs 330 crore per year for the next three years.

Union Cabinet approved Duggarajapatnam Port & it's possibility has been examined currently.
