Centre Announces New Rules For states Over Covid-Appropriate Behaviour

Following the sudden spike in fresh Coronavirus infections, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued new guidelines and directed the states to focus on curbing the pandemic infections.

The national media carried out a story which claims that the MHA issues measures on tackling the situation. The restrictions include imposing night curfews in areas with more infections.

The Centre urged the states to see that the Covid-19 protocols are followed by the public. Extra fines for not following Covid-19 protocols can be imposed to make the public follow the protocols.

During the festive season, the fresh Coronavirus infections increased slightly. Following this, the center asked the states to be pro-active in taking adequate measures.

The new guidelines came a day after, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired an online meeting with the Chief Ministers of eight worst-affected states in India with the Covid-19 outbreak.
