As a piece of good news to Rebel YSRCP MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju, the Union Government has written to the Andhra Pradesh government directing it to take action against Andhra Pradesh CID chief Sunil Kumar.
Going into details, MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju aka RRR had complained to the Ministry of Home Affairs against AP CID chief on two grounds.
After one month, the MHA responded to his complaints and asked the state government to take the appropriate action against Sunil Kumar.
RRR in his complaint said that Sunil Kumar is facing allegations of dowry harassment and hate speech and sought action against him.
Stressing the dowry harassment case filed against him, RRR questioned how come a person facing such serious allegations can be made AP CID chief.
The rebel MP also alleged that Sunil Kumar has made hate speech against Hindu Gods.
In his complaint, Raghurama Krishnam Raju sought the removal of Sunil Kumar as the chief of AP CID.
As a response to the complaint raised by RRR, the MHA had written to Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Adityanath Das to take appropriate action against Sunil Kumar.
RRR who has been at the loggerheads with the Andhra Pradesh government over the past few months had intensified his attack after he was arrested and sent to CID custody in a defamation case.
The rebel MP was accused of making derogatory remarks against the government and allegedly indulging in creating unrest among certain communities in the state.
The Supreme Court had earlier granted bail to RRR in the defamation case. The MP alleged that he was mishandled in the CID custody.
Going by the instructions of the Supreme Court, he was shifted to the military hospital for treatment and upon examining him, the doctors at the Military hospital in their report confirmed that RRR had injuries in his legs.
The entire issue had landed in a controversy over the way he was arrested at his residence in Hyderabad without any prior notice.
It has to be noted that RRR was arrested by the AP CID in connection with the defamation case filed against him.
