OMG: Rs 1.72 lakh crore offered to AP!

Just when TDP Government is complaining about the minimal allocations to the state in the Union Budget 2016, The Centre claims to have extended Rs 1.72 lakh crore financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh since June 2014. While NDA sanctioned Rs 1.12 lakh crore under different heads to the state, Additional Rs 60,000 crore was offered by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways alone. More than Rs 35,000 crore out of the total allocation has already been released to various projects.

List of other Allocations sanctioned to AP by Ministry of Railways (Rs 20,236 crore), Human Resources Development  (Rs 7,000 crore), Defence (Rs 5,700 crore), Commerce (Rs 2,700).

In addition, Around 15,000 crore was received by AP in the form of Central grants.

Addressing the revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crore, Centre released Rs 2,303 crore during 2014-15 apart from grant of Rs 6,609 crore.

Overall, AP will receive Rs 2,06,819 crore (Rs 41,364 crore) in the next 5 years from Centre. Apart from it, Rs 29,374 crore per annum will be paid for next 5 years as per the recommendations of 14th Finance Commission.
