Centre gives a massive Infra push to Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh has received a much-needed boost up in terms of infrastructure, with the union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approving five multi-crore projects to the state.

Minister for Road Transport & Highways and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari has approved five massive infrastructure projects for Andhra Pradesh.

"Union minister Shri @nitin_gadkari ji approved 6 Lane Kantakapalle-Sabbavaram section of NH-130-CD worth Rs. 824.29 Cr Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economics Corridor in the state of Andhra Pradesh," Nitin Gadkari's office tweeted.

"Union minister Shri @nitin_gadkari ji approved development work of 6 Lane Korlam-Kantakapalle section of NH-130-CD worth Rs. 772.70 Cr under Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economics Corridor in the state of Andhra Pradesh," the tweet reads.

The Centre approving Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economics Corridor came as massive support to the AP government's idea to developed port city Vizag as the executive capital.

The Minister has approved the widening and strengthening work of 4 lane urban link of NH-42 in Ananthapur. The project is worth Rs 311.93 Crore.

Along with AP, the Minister has approved projects for Uttar Pradesh as well. The BJP ruled-state has also got approvals for five infra projects worth multi crores.
