Special Session for AP Special Status in Sept

Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu assures NDA Government willn't be going back on its promise of according Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Naidu shared the news that he already met NITI Aayog members to explain them in detail about the seriousness of the issue. He appealed NITI Aayog to consider Special Status & Other necessary freebies for Industrial development in the newly formed state.

The Parliament Affairs Minister informs NITI Aayog's report will be submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi very soon and an official statement regarding Special Status will be made after achieving consensus. He reveals a Special Session of Parliament will be conveyed in September this year to discuss Special Status to AP.

Explaining the reason behind the delay, Naidu reminded as many as nine states were demanding Special Status and a new law is to be brought for fulfilling the promise given to AP.
